A little bit about us,….
Grant’s love of animals, dogs especially, started at a very young age. As a kid he was the neighborhood dog sitter/walker.
In 2012 he graduated from the Animal Care program at NorthShoreCommunity College. In addition to his degree, Grant is Red Cross certified in pet first aid and CPR, a certified dog groomer, received a certificate for pet massage, and is working towards his certificate for pet nutrition.
Grant heads up our training program and his love of positive reinforcement training is near comical. We think he was only joking about clicker training his children in addition to the dogs.
He loves teaching and mentoring and uses his knowledge and experiences in the field to help shape our staff to be some of the best in the business.
In his free time Grant loves hiking and exploring the trails of Dogtown in Gloucester and Willowdale in Ipswich, with his Belgian Tervuren, Kiba and Shetland Sheepdog, Tony.
Ashley has been an integral part of The Natural Paw since it opened in 2011. She currently is a Managing Member of the LLC. She started working with dogs because of a natural ability to read dogs cues and behaviors. She has previously worked for a local dog groomer, and for a short while ran her own dog walking service.
Ashley gained an interest in alternative methods of healing and treating dogs when her hound mix, Zita, didn’t respond to months of antibiotics for multiple tick borne diseases. When she turned to a homeopathic remedy, Zita was cured almost instantly. Ashley believes that proper nutrition plays an enormous role in a dogs overall health and behavior.
Her number one priority is customer satisfaction. She will always go above and beyond to make sure customer’s needs as well as the needs of their pets are met. Her vision of what a doggie day camp facility should be helps guide us in our mission to always be improving to better serve our clients.
Ashley is currently enrolled in the Animal Science program at North Shore Community College and is Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR certified
